It demerits includes some societies not encouraging female births thus they often perform abortions in case of the child being female. Another demerit of this practice being un permissible in some religions like Islam, which prohibits this predictive tests. Some medical school of thoughts also prove that these tests have rays which effects on organs, abilities and movements of the child to born.

Apart from all these advantages and disadvantages, this medical technology is experimented and implemented on thousands of couples who are eager to know what gender they will become parent of. Applying right measures and gaining know how of this technology makes a person hopeful as well as excited towards his their upcoming child.
